VARSITY ELITE ATHLETES NAMED TO ALL-STAR TEAMS The instructors and staff members of Varsity Hockey would like to congratulate all of our athletes who have been named to their respective leagues’ mid-season classic. The OHL all-star team will include Plymouth’s Chris Terry and Erie’s Justin Hodgman. Both have participated in Varsity’s Elite Summer Training Program for the past three years and will be returning for their fourth this summer. Terry, a fifth-round selection of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2007, sits fourth in league scoring as the All-Star break approaches. Hodgman, the Otters’ lone representative at this years game, is also racking up points this season. His 26 goals and 33 assists are good for 16th overall in the OHL scoring race, and have earned him his first trip to the OHL showcase. The OPJHL AllSstar game will feature Elite Program member Andrew Randazzo, whose All-Star weekend includes a doubleheader. On top of playing in the All-Star game, Randazzo will participate in the Future Stars game, where he will be joined by fellow Elite Program members Steve Zoffranieri, Fred Gervasi and Luke Ciotti. The GTHL Midget AAA All-Star game will also feature member of Varsity’s Elite Summer Training Program. Zac Jones of the Mississuaga Senators and Rob McEwan of the Jr. Canadiens. To all, we wish them good luck in the All-Star games. We know that given the amount of hard work they put in the summer, they certainly deserve the recognition and have prepared themselves to finish the rest of the season just as strong as they have started. Congratulations boys! We’ll see you in the summer.
