Seguin Ranked Top Prospect By CSS
Varsity Athlete Tyler Seguin has usurped Taylor Hall as the OHL's top ranked player heading into the NHL 2010 Entry Draft, according to Central Scouting.
Scouts credit Seguin's performance at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament and his strong start to the season for the ranking. Darren Burstyn, director of scouting for McKeen's Hockey, notes that Seguin's surge may be the result of developing at a rate greater than other prospects. "It's uncanny to think how quickly he has developed. He has put on 22 pounds of muscle and grown three inches since being OHL drafted."
Next up for Seguin is the selection camp for Canada's entry in the World Junior Championships. Best of luck, Tyler, and we'll see you next summer.
