 Name: Robert Gherson
Varsity is proud to announce October player of the month Robert Gherson. Robert was born October 8 1983 and resides in Toronto. He has been training at Varsity for the past 2 summers in Varsity's Elite Strength & Conditioning Program. Recently Robert attended the New York Rangers training camp were he had a very impressive camp. Robert spent last year sharpening up his game in the United Hockey League for the Quad City Mallards where he earned Second Team All Star as a rookie. Before his first Pro season Robert spent 4 years as a standout in the OHL splitting time with the Sarnia Sting, and the Owen Sound Attack. During those four years Robert spent in the OHL he was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 5th round 145th overall. Robert is very excited about this upcoming season where he will be between the pipes for the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.
